Meet our Management Team
As CEO, Carlos has overall responsibility for the company operations and leads the development of Enfinity´s short and long-term strategy. He has over 24 years of global leadership experience. Over the last 10 years, he has raised and participated in raising over $20 billion of capital and developed 10 GWs of renewable assets at various stages and structures from greenfield to M&A of RTB portfolios.
Prior to joining Enfinity, Carlos co-founded ieX Renewables, LLC, which by 2015 was underwriting over 2 GWs of renewable assets. From January 2014 to November 2015 he served as President and CEO of TerraForm Power, Inc. and TerraForm Global, Inc.Carlos led the formation of both companies and the successful IPOs in 2014 and 2015, respectively. During Carlos’ leadership TerraForm Power became the largest NA yieldco with 2.8 GW of contracted PPAs and dividends per share growth of 1.7x from the IPO. TerraForm Global remains the largest global pure play renewable public yield company.
He joined SunEdison, Inc.in September 2007 as CFO and investor to take the company public. In January 2009 the Board named Carlos COO and in November 2009, he oversaw the sale of SunEdison to MEMC Electronics. He then became EVP of MEMC and President of SunEdison, Inc. He grew the company globally from 40 MWs per year of origination to over 1 GW per year, with a contracted backlog of over 1.5 GWs. In March 2013, he was named President of SunEdison Capital and became a founding partner at EverStream Capital.
Prior to joining SunEdison, Inc., Carlos had several international senior executive roles at General Electric across several business and countries (1992 – 2007). He was ranked among the top 3% every year.
Carlos holds an MBA from Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management, a BS in Business Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University, and is a graduate of GE’s Financial Management Program.
Peter led the firm’s investment in the Japanese market and started the Tokyo office, and has since led transactions that have raised over $1 billion in capital, both equity and debt. Prior to moving to Tokyo he led the firm’s largest investment in the United States, a $67m structured facility for late-stage development assets.
Prior to joining EverStream, Peter founded White River Solar, a solar developer that originated a 350MW portfolio of solar assets in California which were sold to SunEdison in 2011.
He was previously part of the Utility and Power Plants group at SunPower, where he worked on project financing, contracting, pricing, and system optimization for hundreds of MW across the US and internationally.
Prior to SunPower, he worked with Citi Alternative Investments platform Sustainable Development Investments on their lead investment of a $140 million in Solar Reserve, and with First Wind (then UPC Wind) on hedging and a successful $500m tax equity and debt financing.
Peter began his career in the Markets Group of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He has a B.A. in Economics with High Honors from Middlebury College, an M.A. in International Energy from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and an M.B.A. in Finance from The Wharton School.
Prior to joining Enfinity, from 2005 to 2019, Takuro worked in GE Capital. From 2005 to 2015, he worked as a GM of Capital Markets / Syndication and arranged large leasing / M&A / Energy related financing transactions using global investor base. From 2013 to 2019 Takuro worked on energy project investments in Japan as a country representative and contributed to 500MW of solar investment volume. He also led the creation of a solar infrastructure fund in Japan.
Prior to GE, He worked in Japan and New York offices of Japanese bank.
He holds a LL.M lnt’l Tax from New York University School of Law and a LL.B from Keio University in Japan
Prior to joining Enfinity, from 2015 to 2018, he worked as an independent advisor for various clients among which Gildemeister Energy Solutions GMBH, overseeing the legal, strategic, financial and commercial facets of implementing cutting-edge renewable energy solutions throughout the world. In addition, he led the greenfield development of a portfolio of over 200MW of solar PV in Italy.
From 2013 to 2015 Alessandro worked as General Manager Europe for SunEdison when he developed the brand to become a recognized market leader with more than 500 MW interconnected only in the UK, where his achievements in public relations and lobbying were instrumental in the adoption of significant industry regulations.
From 2008 to 2013, he was EMEA Legal Counsel for SunEdison, where he managed strategic and financial advisory assignments and carried out a range of M&A transactions involving valuation, due diligence and contract negotiation.
Prior to joining SunEdison, from 2007 to 2008, he worked as Director of the Legal Department at Conergy in Italy. His in-depth knowledge of industry regulations and success in building partner relationships served to drive innovative Greenfield projects in the renewable energy market in Italy.
Alessandro used to work a qualified lawyer in Italy and holds a Law Degree from the University of Milan.
As Head of Marketing, Virginia is responsible for the Marketing & Branding Strategy of Enfinity worldwide. She has more than 20 years of experience in international marketing, 15 of which include leadership positions in the renewable energy industry.
Prior to joining Enfinity, from 2008 to 2016, she held different leadership positions at SunEdison Inc. Until 2014, she was Head of Marketing for EMEA, LATAM and North Asia. During that time, she laid the groundwork for the launch of SunEdison in Spain, Italy, the UK and Latin America. Her work made a significant impact on the positioning of SunEdison as a market leader in Italy and Latin America, where the company launched some of the industry’s most emblematic projects. Some of these include the Rovigo power plant in Italy and the Amanecer Solar CAP power plant in Chile. She was awarded with the Assorel Award for the “Best PR Campaign in the Energy Sector in Italy 2010”.
From 2014 to 2016, as Global Head of Marketing for TerraForm Power, Inc. and TerraForm Global, Inc., she led the IPO communication campaigns for both companies.
From 2004 to 2008, Virginia was Director of Marketing Iberia at Conergy AG, leading the company’s marketing efforts in Spain and Portugal for the Residential and Commercial business under the brand SunTechnics.
She began her career in the PR and advertising sector leading important campaigns for Information Technology and industrial companies such as Cisco, ICL, Praxair, Next and Apple in Europe.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, a PMD in International Business Administration from ESADE Business School and HEC Paris, and she completed the Digital Business Senior Management Program in Digital Transformation, at The Valley Digital Business School.
As Head of Structured Finance, Miguel is responsible for all debt raising and structuring activities throughout the lifecycle of all of Enfinity projects.
Miguel has over 10 years of experience, 5 of which focused on the renewable energy sector. Prior to joining Enfinity, from 2015 to 2018 Miguel was Head of Structured Finance of ieX Renewables, LLC. Before that, from 2011 to 2016, he worked as Head of Structured Finance EMEA & LATAM at SunEdison, Inc., where he led the Structured Finance team through transactions amounting to over $4 billion provided by equity sources, commercial and development banks, and other credit institutions.
Before joining SunEdison, Inc. from 2010 to 2011, Miguel was Deputy Restructuring Officer at Metrovacesa, during its €6 billion multijurisdictional debt restructuring process, involving more than 60 financial institutions, including top tier foreign and Spanish banks. From 2006 to 2008, Miguel was Associate at Magnum Capital Industrial Partners, the largest Spanish private equity firm.
Miguel holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a concentration in Finance by The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from INSEAD.
As Head of Legal, Jorge is responsible for the coordination and support of legal matters for the company worldwide. He has over 15 years of experience in international leadership positions, 11 of which focus on the renewable energy sector.
Prior to joining Enfinity, from 2016 to 2019 Jorge was Head of Legal at ieX Renewables, LLC. From 2011 to 2016, he was Head of Legal Global Operations at SunEdison, Inc., supporting the Asset Management division worldwide (8 GW of solar and wind assets under management). Before that, he served as Head of Legal for EMEA & LATAM, leading the legal support activities for the development, construction and project finance for the region at SunEdison. Jorge was a key member of the executive team that ramped up business activities in Latin America.
From 2005 to 2011, Jorge was a Senior Associate at Uría Menéndez within the Project Finance & Energy Group. During that period, Jorge provided advice to a variety of clients within the renewable energy industry, including investment funds, credit entities, construction companies and developers.
Jorge has a degree in Law and an LLM in Business Law from Instituto de Empresa (IE) in Madrid.
As Head of Technical Solutions, Guy oversees all technical activities of Enfinity globally. He has over 29 years of global construction and EPC experience. For the first 20 years, he worked on large construction projects worldwide in the field of offshore pipelines (gas-oil), port construction and dredging. From 2009 onwards he moved to the renewable energy sector and was involved in business development, design and EPC.
He joined Enfinity in 2009 as Head of Technical Solutions and created a design and engineering team in India that became the backbone for all Enfinity technical operations. To date, Guy is responsible for the design of over 1.3 GW for Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
Prior to joining Enfinity, Guy was involved in the Río de la Plata and Paraná River Privatization Program (Argentina), projects in the Palm Islands (Middle East); one of his latest undertakings involved Saudi Aramco (Saudi Arabia), valued at $800 million, as well as one entailing the Panama Canal Docks, with a value of more than $1 billion.
Guy joined Enfinity in October 2009. From 2009 to 2010 he created a new design and engineering team in India that became the backbone of all Enfinity technical operations worldwide. The team designed more than 400 MW for Belgium, 100 MW France, 100 MW for Italy and assisted in EPC construction. In Asia, in areas that include India, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia and Vietnam, he and his team carried out many solar surveys and tenders, including the design and engineering for these projects. They worked on a pipeline of approximately 700 MW. From 2013 onwards, design and engineering projects shifted towards the Middle East and Africa (Egypt, South Africa, Nigeria and Cameroon). During that time he designed and engineered roughly 60 MW of rooftop projects for the Middle East.
